Oslo Domkirke - cathedral
The third cathedral to rise in Oslo was the Oslo Domkirke in 1697. Since then, the building has been renovated twice: once in the mid-1800s and a second time about 100 years later. Today, the church features its original pulpit and altar. It boasts bronze doors created by the hand of Dagfin Wereskiold, a 20th Century Norwegian artisan. One of the main attractions of the cathedral is its five story tall organ. Concerts and both religious and secular events are hosted at the facility that also features bilingual service in English and Norwegian each Wednesday at noon from June through August.
