Oslo Rådhus - City Hall

The Oslo Rådhus (city hall) boasts a magnificent view of the city and surrounding area from atop its two towers. The building was opened in 1950 after being under construction for nearly 20 years with an intermission taking place during World War II. It houses the City Council, city administration and several art studios. Situated in Pipervika in central downtown Oslo, the building is the most famous structure in the city. The structure was designed by Magnus Poulsson and Arnstein Arneberg who meshed romanticism, functionalism, and classicism styles into the building's design. In 2005, it was named Oslo's "structure of the century".
